Trekking Tour: 15 day/14 night
Itinary: Tashkent – Artutsch – Chukrak – Kuli Kalon – Alauddin – Sangui Safed – Samarkand – Bukhara – Khiva – Tashkent
This wonderful mix of culture and trekking brings you closer to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, the fascinating countries along the ancient Silk Road. Next visit the mountains and lakes of Tajikistan and stay in typical yurts. The first part of the journey consists of the 7-day trekking in the scenic mountains. Day 1. Home-Tashkent
Flight to Uzbekistan. Arrival in Tashkent. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2. Tashkent – Artuch 450 km
Ride into town Bekobod. After the formalities at the border continue to drive to the village Artutsch where you will be welcomed by your guide and escort team. Overnight at the guesthouse.
Day 3. Artuch-Chukrak(2450 m)
A gentle climb leads to Chukrak Pass (3.180m). We cross the high meadows, where Tajik shepherds spend the summer in simple huts and grazing sheep and goats beware. We then descend to the banks of the lake from Chukrak (2.435m). Overnight in tents.
Day 4. Chukrak- Kulikalon (2900m)
We descend to the small lake, then go up through the valley. We feel the atmosphere of high mountain. Once on Tschukrak Pass (3300 m), we have a magnificent view of the mountains, including Tschimtarga, the highest peak (5480 m) in the vicinity. Spread at our feet is Kulikalon lakes, gorgeous turquoise water and by their width. Back down a little steep in places and we build the camp on the edge of a lake. Overnight in tent.
Walking time: 6-7 hours. Ascent: 900 m. 6 km
Day 5. Kulikalon- Alaudin Lake (2700 m)
NAfter crossing the plateau of the valley with its lakes, we begin our ascent to Alaudin Pass (3800 m) to reach the lake with the same name on the other side. Also like yesterday panoramic front of us are the giants of the Pamir’s and hanging glaciers. Quick and steep descent to the lake where we set up camp for the night. Overnight in tent.Walking time: 6-7 hours. Ascent: 1100 m. 10 km
Day 6. Alaudin Lake-Mounty Lake-Alaudin Lake
In the morning we go for a hike to discover the high mountains, cross the small villages of shepherds. Then we go in the direction of Mounty Lake (3500 m), admire over the peaks in height 5000 m. Since you have an impressive and interesting view of the glacier. Then we descend and return to our warehouse at Alaudin lake. Overnight in tents.
Walking time: 6-7 hours. Ascent: 750 m. 11 km
Day 7. Alaudin Lake- Sangui Safed (2500 m)
Passage of Chapdara Pass (3400 m) and descent into the canyon Sangui Safed. Camp.
Walking time: 6-7 hours. Ascent: 700 m. Descent: 900 m. 12 km away.
Day 8. Sangui Safed – Gletscher Grand Ganza – Sangui Safed
A beautiful day to walk back through the gorge to the glaciers United Ganza then descent to Camp.
Day 9. Sangui Safed – Samarkand
Morning transfer to the city of Bekobod and drive to Samarkand, the Pearl of the Orient. Arrival in Samarkand and accommodation in a guest house for two nights.
450 kms and drive nine hours with the passage of the border.
Day 10. Samarkand
Today your tour of the breathtaking Samarkand goes away. Visit Gur-e Amir, the final resting place of the famous ruler Tamerlane. After a short walk from the heart of Samarkand, the beautiful Registan Square with its three magnificent madrasah: Ulugbek, Shir Dor and Tillya-Kari, observatory Ulugbek, necropolis Shahi Zinda, the bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11. Samarkand – Bukhara
Departure to the city of Bukhara by the Kyzylkum desert. After accommodation at the hotel, the first visits in the afternoon of Bukhara: Lyabi-House Ensemble Madrassah Nadir Divanbegi, Khonako Nadir Divanbegi, Kukeldash madrassah. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12. Bukhara
Bukhara was one of the most important cities on the Silk Road. Traders flocked to sell their goods, carpets and jewelry. It was also an important development home to many religions like Zoroastrianism and later Islam.Das program includes the historical monuments: mosque and minaret Poyi-Kalon, medrese Miri-Arab, domes Taqi, Toki Toki Sarafon Telpak Furushon, Toki Zargaron, Magoki Attari Mosque , Ulug Beg Madrassah, Abdul Aziz Madrassah. In the afternoon visit: Ismael Samani mausoleum, Safe Bukhara, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum, Ark Fortress and Bolo-Hauz Mosque. Traditional in Nadir Devan-Begi Madrassah. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13. Bukhara – Chiwa
Departure to Khiva, a mystical city in the desert of red sand. We spent the night in a guesthouse on site.
480 km away. 6-8 hour drive.
Day 14. Khiva – Tashkent
Today you will explore one of the best preserved cities on the Silk Road. The former capital of Chiwa- khanates in the 17th century has preserved the magical atmosphere of an ancient, oriental city until today. You visit the old town Chiwas- Juma mosque, madrasa Muhammad Amin Khan, Citadel Kukhna Ark, Pachlovon-Makhmud mausoleum, Alakuli Chan Madrassah and Others Transfer to Urgench (30 km) and domestic flight to the capital. Overnight in Tashkent.
Day 15. Tashkent – Home
Transfer to the airport. Flight home.
